Canadian Army Uniform Officer's Dress Tunic

- Description: This is a black serge, four pocket tunic having lion passant-guardant decorated buttons without mottoes or regimental numbers. The stand collar does not have any regimental insignia and there are heavy gold cord shoulder straps having the three pips of a Captain on either side. A single row ribbon bar is sewn above the left breast pocket consisting of: Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, 1939-1945 War Medal, Canadian Forces Decoration. The interior has a black silk lining which is in excellent condition but no tags or tailor's labels. Next is a navy blue vest tailored in the Zouave style with silver wire piping along the front seam and matching trefoil decorations aound the small side pockets. Last is a pair of later uniform trousers with wide scarlet stripes down the sides, elastic foot loops, and a tailor's label at the waist (Pete Rouleau Ltd.) listing a 1967 date and the owner's name; "Lt. G.A. Cook" Royal Canadian Artillery. This is a nice World War II era dress tunic with accessories and is in fine overall condition.
