Remington New Model Police Cartridge Revolver

  • Maker: Remington
  • Model: New Model Police
  • Caliber: .38

  • Description: Serial #4787 (Conversion #537), .38 RF, 3 1/2” octagon barrel with a very good bore that has light freckling and pitting along its length. This is a very nice, matching numbered revolver that has the two-piece .38 RF cylinder and retains about 30-40% of the original blue finish, mostly on the barrel, and a smooth, freckled plum-brown on the balance. The cylinder has a slightly darker mixture of dull pewter gray and mottled plum-brown around the circumference. The trigger guard has retained most of the original nickel, but does have some small spots of underlying brass peeking out here and there. The walnut grips are in very good shape with only minor handling marks and blemishes, as well as some wear at the butt on either side. The lock-up is still tight and the revolver rates very good-near fine condition overall. Antique
