WW2 German M.40 Army Helmet

  • Price: $545.00
  • Maker: German
  • Model: Helmet
  • Caliber:

  • Description: This was a single decal helmet prior to the removal of the Heer Adler on the left side of the crown. The helmet itself retains 80-85% of the original dark green flocked paint finish that has flaked to the underlying brown metal on the crown and along the rolled edge of the visor and neck flare. The interior is lot number marked (“N307”) on the back of the neck flare, and the maker is visible, but illegible, on the left side interior. A single area of light surface rust is present on the back of the neck shield. The leather and zinc suspension web is in very good condition with some scuffing and flaking along the bottom edge. The cinch cord is missing from the web, and the chinstrap is present, but broken near the bail on one side. This is a very nice, battle-worn example of a World War II Army Stahlhelm, and would make a very attractive addition to a collection.
