This Mark 2 combat knife has a square nut on the threaded tang with the ricasso marked "Robeson Shuredge" and "U.S.N." As per illustration "Type 1 screw on butt" and No. 10 on Page 87 in "U.S. military knives bayonets and machetes book III" by M.K. Cole. The leather scabbard is marked under the snap strap "Boyt/43" and U.S.N. Just below the blade opening. See Page 93, Left illustration for the scabbard description. The knife is in fair /good condition with the scabbard grading very fine with tight stables and stitching.
