A pre war Mark IV .38 revolver in commercial configuration that was then taken into service. The top strap is marked "Mark IV .38 145/200" The right frame has the serial No and "War Finish" and shows a broad arrow and military proofs. This is considered a scarce variation. Commercial Variations were not again produced until serial No. 172219. Weapons completed after 14 May, 1947 were given serial numbers prefixed by a capital letter "A". Over 98% original finish remains in close to unfired condition. Note this model is no longer importable into the USA .A scarce mid 1930's commercial taken into military service. FFl or C&R
