This Snider has a commercial breech block marked "Snider Patent" with the arrow through the "S". The hammer face is concave. The right stock has 2 circular cartouches and part of a 3rd. One reads "Birmingham 1870" The second reads "Thomas Turner Trade Mark Birmingham and the partial one reads "Enfield 1". The stock flat has 2 punched names "T. Godfrey" and "J. Barker". Small Birmingham proofs show on the barrel and breech along with "Crown over GV" in 2 places. The serial No. is 4484 and to the right is "Crown/1/B' The barrel is stamped forward of the barrel sight is small letters "T. Turner." overall excellent condition in and out with a bright excellent bore. A splendid example. Antique
