This is an earlier Model "B" with No hi standard monogram on the grips. The serial No.is 14596. There grip style was changed at 31. 508 on Feb 18, 1938 with the addition of the HS logo in the center effects of the depression on production was evident with only 2,900 guns sold between October , 1932 and April 1936. As conditions improved , 10,000 guns were sold next year. This example is the 1-A takedown with the round retracting rod. Reference "High standard automatic pistols 1932-1950" by Changes E. Petty. This one has the 4 1/2" round barrel with new Haven address and bright excellent bore. 90% original blue remains with most less on the grip straps and muzzle. FFl or C&R
