This is the model of 1903 in caliber .32 S&W long. This model appears to be the first to have a pinned barrel. This is also the first model to have a locking lug for the extractor rod and the cylinder stop moved to the center of the bottom frame. A 6 shot model with a thumb latch to open the cylinder. The right sideplate has a large S&W logo. Total production of this model was 10,425 pieces, all of which were made during 1903-1904. About 55% original blue remains with the balance a brown patina with scattered pinprick pitting. The grips show little wear but the right panel has a repair where a chip broke off and was glued. Included is a scuffed brown leather flap holster with some loose stitching and with embossed design. The belt loop is marked 102/38. A nice turn of the century .32 Smith. FFL or C&R
