This carbine was made in series 6 at Chigusa factory of Nagoya arsenal. The 19" barrel has a bright, good bore with some light frosting. All numbers match including the bolt. The cleaning rod is 10 1/4" long. The front sight is an inverted V with guards. The rear sight is graduated from 400 to 2000 meters. The 2 piece stock has a full length handguard. A small triangular chip has come out behind the rear sling swivel. The mum and type characters are untouched. Knurled safety bolt with notch. Cupped sheet metal buttplate. The lower sling swivel has 2 screws. A nice example of a Type 38 carbine which are becoming more difficult to find. FFL or C&R
