Serial #123940, 7.65mm (.32 ACP), 4 1/4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This pistol has matching numbers on the frame, slide (interior), barrel, and muzzle cap with the metal retaining 95-97% of the original blue finish that has silvered and freckled slightly at the muzzle and along the projecting edges and bearing surfaces. Extensive Waffenamt acceptance stamps are present on the left side of the slide and frame with a few negligible specks of freckling scattered about as well. The slide/frame rattles slightly but the mechanism functions flawlessly. The checkered wooden grips are also in excellent shape having light handling marks and minor surface blemishes on both panels (the left panel has been milled out and a lanyard loop added indicating post-war French usage). The pistol comes with a single magazine and is housed in an unmarked brown leather flap holster which has small surface scuffs throughout and some small spots of flaking on the exposed portions. This is a fine wartime Model 1922 and would make a great addition to any collection. {Ref: "FN Browning Pistols" by Anthony Vanderlinden, 2009} FFL or C&R
