This type 38 has serial 76907 with no series mark. Manufacture was at Koishikawa, Tokyo arsenal. The bolt has a mis-matched number (3556) and shows the early tang protection safety. No cleaning rod is present. Rear sight is graduated to 2400 meters. The "mum" has a light X mark but is otherwise complete. The 2 piece butt stock has a flat forged buttplate and is stamped on the right side "4/124" and a large "124". A polished bolt and a straw color trigger. The partial "o" & "oo" stamped in front of the serial No. indicate an arsenal rebuilt rifle. A dark frosted 6.5mm bore. FFL or C&R
