This Colt has Damascus barrels shortened to 30 3/8". The under rib is loose and we feel that this is good only for parts. 2 brass sideplates have been added to the cheek and the buttplate is missing. The serial No. 2131 indicates production in 1886. This old Colt is from a relatively low production group of guns - approx. 7000. This piece is for a person who may be rebuildng one of these Colts. The forestock, action, internal parts are all usable and not that easy to locate. Antique
