This Type 38 rifle has the symbol of the Koishikawa (Tokyo) arsenal. The serial number is preceded by 2 zeros indicating that the rifle has been arsenal rebuilt, 00608543. The cleaning rod measures 29-9/16" long with a steel tip. A front sight with no guards, 31 1/4" barrel with a 400 to 2000 meter sight. The mum is intact but with a ring of ovals around the outer edge. The type 38 marking is intact. 2 piece buttstock with branded Japanese characters on the left and number 162 also on the left. The bolt handle has number 162 also on the left. The bolt handle has number 490 and the dust cover is one number off at 541. The 6.5mm bore has dark frosting. A correct leather sling in included.
