This pre WWII Japanese rifle has a serial number preceded by 2 Zeros indicating an arsenal rebuild (#00613236) made at Koishikawa (Tokyo) arsenal with no series number and a mismatched 595 bolt. The mum and Type 38 marking have both been removed. The bore shows dark frosting in the grooves. Reference page 40 in "Military Rifles of Japan" second edition by Fred L. Honneycutt Jr. and F. Patt Anthony. This rifle shows the "B" barrel test code. FFL or C&R
