A Japanese T-14 Nambu pistol from Chuo Kogyo arsenal, made in June of 1940 (show 4 15.6). The grips are G.I. made of aluminum. Serial number is 79499 with the cocking knob numbered, as is the trigger, to the frame. The firing pin and follower are not numbered which is correct for the model. The magazine is mismatched with number 521. A bright, excellent bore with strong rifling. Some light pitting on the sides of the receiver and frame. This variation has the large triggerguard. The oral information is that the former owner was an officer with the engineers. Aircraft aluminum was available when he was stationed on one of the Pacific islands prior to the end of the war.
