Winchester box dated 1942 of dummy cartridges. This is an early 42 dated sealed box marked carbine cal .30 M13. See photo 661 on page 702 "War Baby Comes Home - U.S. .30 Carbine Vol 11" by Larry L. Ruth. This photo shows an open crate of 20 boxes. Photo 662 shows the later version. This box is deeply stamped on the bottom "42 Made in U.S.A". Lot # 22026. This early box is from the 1st year of carbine production. A great ammo box for the Winchester, US carbine or the ammunition collector.
