We are pleased to offer a very rare pre WWI item from Imperial Germany. Measuring 2 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 3/4" this item is a silver gilt presentation box with a painted enamel porcelain lid displaying the collar of the Order of the Black Eagle. The porcelain by the Koenigliche Porzellen Manufaktur Berlin dated 1905. The silver box marked with the .925 purity hallmark on the base. Boxes of this type were made for distribution by Kaiser Wilhelm to visiting senior military officers. Extremely rare and very difficult to find item and in excellent condition.
