A Canadian military horse Crupper 33" overall. This is a Victorian era piece built by a well known saddlery shop in Quebec city, Fisher Blovin and so marked. The piece is also mounted with a 4" Victoria crown and cipher plate. One the reverse is a diamond mark dated 1888 M&D (Canadian Militia and Defense) Any piece of M&D horse equipment of this era must be considered to be scarce if not rare. Sound, uncleaned original condition.
