This deactivated Japanese model 89 knee mortar round has a small Kokura arsenal symbol punched into the side. Pulling the wire pin allows the bomb to be thrown like a grenade or fired in the mortar tube. The base has 8 exhaust ports surrounding the hole for the firing cap. 2" wide by 5 3/4" high. A fine condition Japanese artifact. Not subject to federal law but please check your local and state laws.
