SN 1990 bright, very good plus bore with traces of some light areas of corrosion. Dated 1871. The metal retains 85% of its original blue on barrel and action. The wood is original, showing normal service usage, scratches and marks. it also has clear deep stamping of the Enfield stock mark. The brass butt trap door is marked with a name I. K. Farrer. This former owner was from New Brunswick and served in the CEF in WWI with the Canadian Army Dental Corp. A copy of the service record of Isaac K. Farrer is included. As to the identity of the former owner, his service in WWI has nothing to do with the service of the carbine. A very good example with chain pin protector and original cleaning rod in the butt.
