This FN M. 1910 pistol shows serial No 455473 which is preceded by an inspection mark "DAI" which was used by the Tokyo arsenal in 1932. See page 357 in 'Japanese military cartridge handguns 1893-1945 by Derby and Brown. The Book "Military pistols of Japan" by Fred L. Honeycutt Jr. reports "Small quantities of practically every Major Production of European pistol was imported into japan. These include, but are not limited to the stock, DWM, Fabrique National, (F.N.) model 1910, FN Model 1922, Mauser model 1914, etc, all in 7.65 mm". The pistol retains 70% blue with moderate pitting on the slide and a bright excellent bore that may clean better. A scarce Japanese marked pistol for the Japanese browning FN or WWII collector.
