SN 5428 All matching mint bore, excellent plus metal and wood. BSA built 1896. This piece is unique and quite diffferent. The rifle was originally fitted with a BSA butt stock in the style of the Lee Metford carbine. In addition a side mounted swivel was installed to allow for a left side mounted sling as well as the conventional sling mounting. It would appear that this was a part of a small group of special order rifles as supplied to the Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario. The piece is marked R.M.C. This rifle remains in excellent condition and is a very scarce variation of the long lee and would be worthy of further research.
