1941 Johnson bayonet SN 1524 on the bayonet and 2457 on the scabbard. The bayonet shows light pitting associated with obvious usage. The bayonet rides in an original scabbard SN 2457. The tip of the scabbard has a bend in the leather as does the piece as shown on page 96 of "Johnson Rifles and Machineguns" by Bruce Canfield. Original scabbards are relatively uncommon.
