Maker: Clarke Model: Knife |
|
Knife built by John Clarke and Son Sheffield, broad arrow and 1942 dated. 4 1/2" blade 9 1/2" overall. This appears to be a military kitchen or utility knife that was taken and used by a soldier. The initial MR is deeply carved in the left grip panel. The piece rides in a home made leather sheath with a U.S. helmet strap as an attachment loop. An unusual WWII knife that appears to have been carried and used.
