This small hatchet is just over ten inches long with a 4 inch blade. This shows lots of use with sharpened blade, wear to hammer end and restitched face on belt holster. 75% of the L.L. Bean label still shows bright colors. The original wood handle shows traces of finish and is sound with no cracks. A very nice Bean axe with great character and hard to find in this size; this would complement any display with sporting equipment and a period .22 or .30-06.
