SN64578 X shows a bright, excellent bore. The left socket is marked "No. 1 MK 3" over "FR 52". Built at Ishapore in 1952 after India became a Republic in 1951. Square design nose cap, type 3 stock socket and reinforcing strap; for reference see pages 84 & 85 in "India's Enfields" by Robert W. Edwards . A complete rifle in as issued and used condition with the wood showing the normal military dings and scratches.FFL or C&R
