This sword featueres an etched blade, gilt hilt and fittings, gold wire wrapped leather grip and prominent Boston retailer's name on ricasso. Etching shows "S.U." and eagle with "WM read & Sons Boston Mass." blade shows light staining and a few scratches. Hilt and grip are in excellent condition with signs of light use. Scabbard is nickel plated with scattered pinprick oxidation showing with gilt brass rings and drag. A very good SV sword.
