Colt pre war serial #686381, .38 Spl, 6" barrel with a bright excellent bore. This revolver retains 95% blue on the metal with slight silvering along the exposed edges and gray freckling along the gripstraps and on the sides of the hammer. The barrel has some mild fading at the muzzle and has a 1926 patent date and "a heavy barrel+" stamp under the model designation. The colt medallion checkered wood grips are in very good condition with some slight wear and flattening to the points. A very good colt with the scarcer heavy barrel. This piece could use a good cleaning. FFL or C&R Please
