A single barrel 12 bore fowler with a silver lined pan coin or touch mark on the top barrel flat reading "Mclay Patent" with a crown. Birmingham proofs, with a 36 5/8" octagon to round Damascus barrel. The back action lock and steel furniture have no name or engraving. The brass nose cap, lower rod pipe and wedge escutcheons suggest an earlier restoration. Antique.
