Bacon Mfg. Co. 1st Model Navy Revolver

  • Maker: Bacon
  • Model: Navy
  • Caliber: .38

  • Description: Serial #61, .38 RF, 7 1/2" octagon barrel with a very good, lightly freckled bore. This is a 1st Model revolver with all matching parts, including the removable cylinder pin/ejector assembly, and has an overall freckled gray patina with the remnants of original scrollwork engraving on the sides of the frame. The walnut grips are in very good shape with numerous small marks and moderate wear throughout. The lock-up is good and the action is functional, however the cylinder tends to reverse on a few of the chambers. These were Bacons foray into a large frame, military type revolver, but no government orders were forthcoming, so they are seldom seen today. This example rates very good overall. Antique
