- Description: French made World War 1 British Officers Military binoculars with tubes and leather case marked with British broad arrow marks. The maker Lemaire of Paris, body is covered by a thin leather covering which remains is good condition with one piece partially unglued. One tube has the broad arrow mark and the other has S.3 over 18538. The lenses remain clear but have a build up of dust that comes from age but do focus. No dent or dings are fond on the body. Overall dimensions open are 6.5 closed 5.25 by 4.75 wide. The brown case is in fine original shape with a dark brown color with heavy carry strap. Underside clearly stamped E.Hawley & Co.1916 with the broad arrow mark on lower front. Inside the lid of the case is a store label from John Barker & Co. LTD Kensington W.8. Opticians.
