• Description: Serial #797861, .38 Special, 2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1962-made revolver that retains 85-90% of the original blue, with extensive silvering along the exposed edges and projections, at the sides of the muzzle, and what looks like holster wear at the front of the frame on the right side just ahead of the trigger guard. Some spots of dark freckling are present on the sides of the hammer, and the checkered Colt medallion grips have noticeable wear and flattening at the butt on both sides. The lock-up is still tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a very good plus Detective Special overall. FFL or C&R
