Item #36746

Czech VZ. 52 Pistol with Holster (Not Import Marked)

  • Maker: Czech
  • Model: VZ-52
  • Caliber: 7.62mm

  • Description: Serial #M12276, 7.62mm Tokarev, 4” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an “rid” coded, 1953 made, M-Series pistol that has matching numbers on the frame, slide, and barrel and retains 97-98% of the original blue finish, which has only some very mild fading along a few of the high edges and bearing surfaces. The pistol has crisp “(crossed swords) 53” property and date marking on the right side of the frame, and the grooved brown resin grips are in fine-near excellent condition with only a few very minor scratches and handling marks on either panel. The pistol comes complete with an original “OTK” marked, pale leather Czech military holster with a single magazine and cleaning rod. James D. Brown mentions in his book, “Cold War Pistols of Czechoslovakia” (Schiffer; 2009), that a very small number of VZ. 52 pistols were brought to the United States prior to the requirement for import stamping through clandestine means; either through defection, or smuggled out in diplomatic pouches. These are well-made Czech pistols, designed to handle a potent cartridge, and are very rarely found without import stamps. FFL or C&R
