• Description: Serial #H31921, .30-30 Win, 20 inch JM marked barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is the Model 336SC Sporting Carbine, first model, manufactured by Marlin in 1951 featuring a 2/3 magazine and an expert intricately carved stock with one side depicting a very detailed 10 point jumping buck in a woodland scene and the other having 3 dogs chasing a wild boar with a mountain scene in the background with a plain ivory or bone grip cap and comes with a Boyt military style sling. In excellent condition the barrel and frame retain about 95-98% original blue finish with slight loss at the muzzle and a few tiny use marks and scattered freckles. The custom carved stock and forearm are in excellent condition with very tiny use marks and a small chip missing from the upper right corner of the forearm. Mechanically it functions properly with a very smooth action. A beautiful early custom carved Marlin 336SC that will be the envy of any Hunting Camp. FFL or C&R
