Item #39536

German Model 1883 Reichsrevolver (Garde du Corps Marked)

  • Maker: German
  • Model: Reichsrevolver
  • Caliber: 10.6mm

  • Description: Serial #162, 10.6 x 25R, 5" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This is a very handsome revolver that has all-matching numbers, and retains 80-85% of the original bright blue with the balance faded to a smooth, plum-brown, and tsome silvering along the high edges and at the muzzle. The lock-up is tight, and the action is fully functional. The walnut grips rate very good with only minor handling marks and scratches on either panel. Unit markings are present on the backstrap denoting use by the Kaisers bodyguard regiment: "G.C.162." (Garde du Corps). This is a high condition Reichsrevolver, that was issued to the most prestigious unit in the Imperial German Army, and rates very good plus condition overall. Antique
