Lee Enfield SMLE Mk. I* Rifle by BSA Charger Loader

  • Price: $1,795.00
  • Maker: Enfield
  • Model: SMLE
  • Caliber: .303

  • Description: Serial #CR2872, .303 British, 25 barrel with a very good bore that has minor freckling within the grooves. This is a 1907 dated rifle that has about 8085% of an armory re-applied blue finish which blends smoothly into a mellow plum-brown patina, with silvering at the muzzle, as well as on the high edges and projections. The bolt and nosecap have been renumbered to match, and the forend is numbered to a different gun along the bottom. The original front volley sight is still present, however the rear sight has been removed, and so has the magazine cut-off. The walnut stock and forend are in good-very good overall condition having numerous minor surface scuffs, small blemishes, and small surface cracks at the rear handguard, underside running up from the magazine inletting, and on the either side of the wrist socket on the right side. These charger loading SMLEs are eagerly sought after, and this example, in about good condition, would make a great candidate for restoration. FFL or C&R
