Neat S&W Prewar .32 Regulation Police Revolver

Description: Serial #266794, .32 S&W Long, 3 1/4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an early production revolver made ca. 1917, and has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor. The metal retains 95-97% of the original blue finish, with some mild silvering at the muzzle, along some of the high and exposed edges, and a light turn-ring on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger retain a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening, and the original checkered, diamond-center grips, numbered to the gun on the interior, are in fine shape with few handling marks and very little flattening of the points. A non-factory lanyard swivel was added to the butt at some point as well. The lock-up is tight and the action is fully functional, although the trigger return spring is slightly gummed up.
