Original WWI British MkI Brodie Helmet with liner 1916-18
- Maker: British
- Model: Helmet
- Description: This is an all original WWI helmet MkI also known as the Brodie helmet named for John Brodie the man who introduce this helmet. This helmet is in excellent condition with the original instruction tag in the crown held by the rivet. This has original finish and sand texture with some brushed on paint on top and under the brim. This helmet is stamped M/O 265 which tells us this was produce/stamped by J&J Maxfield and Sons Ltd. Sheffield with steel from Samuel Osborne & Company Ltd. also of Sheffield England. The original head liner is in excellent condition with all hardware percent and proper. It is still fairly pliable for the age with a strap that has some checks but functions fine. This would take a top place in most collections.
