• Description: Serial #S139629, .357 Magnum, 8 3/8" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a ca. 1954-made revolver with matching numbers on the frame, barrel, recessed cylinder, yoke, and extractor. The metal retains 92-95% of the original blue finish, with some silvering at the muzzle, along the high and projecting edges, as well as a strong turn-ring on the rear of the cylinder. The hammer and trigger retain a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening, with gray fading along the edges and bearing surfaces. The S&W target stocks are later production and not original, but are in fine shape, with only some minor handling marks and some mild flattening of the points. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a fine plus example of a desirable N-frame S&W overall. FFL or C&R
