Pre War Winchester Model 52-B Target Rifle 1939

  • Maker: Winchester
  • Model: 52
  • Caliber: .22

  • Description: Serial #45751B, .22 LR, 28" heavy barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1939-made rifle that has retained 95-97% of the original blue finish with some trace silvering along a few of the high edges and projections. The majority of the finish loss occurs on the bolt handle, which has a pewter gray patina with some faint freckling on the knob, and some further fading along the trigger guard. The walnut stock is in fine shape with minor handling marks scattered about the thinning original varnish, and is outfitted with a six-position rail on the underside of the forend. The rifle has a Lyman front target sight with orange disk insert mated to a Lyman adjustable rear sight with large disk aperture. The rail has both a sling swivel, and black plastic hand-stop installed, and a single-shot adapter in-lieu of a magazine. This is a splendid example of a pre-war Model 52 Target, and rates excellent overall. FFL or C&R
