- Description: This is a fantastic early Malcolm scope that measures 34 1/2" in length, and has an approximately 1/2" wide tube. The tube is undented, still ramrod straight, and retains its original brown leather wrap which has flaked extensively along its length, but is otherwise intact, with an unseparated seam along the underside. The tube has a nickel silver ring at the rear sight mount that reads: "Wm. MALCOLM / SYRACUSE / N.Y." The silver ocular lens housing and cap have tarnished to a pleasant blue-black patina, while the nickel silver objective lens housing remains bright. The optics are clear and the three crosshair ranging reticle is intact. The magnification is approximately 10x, and both the front and rear mounts are included. This is a splendid example of an early Malcolm scope, still fully serviceable, and would make a great addition to a collection.
