• Description: Serial #43290, .300 Savage, 22 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore with strong rifling. This is the Model 81 Woodsmaster manufactured by Remington in 1948. The semi-automatic rifle has been restored retaining about 90-95% of a black matte finish showing a few freckles on the barrel and is thinning to gray on the receiver with the spots of underlying pitting showing through. The walnut stock and flat sided forearm rate about excellent with the smooth refinished surface and the upper tang sitting about inch inside the inlet. Mechanically it functions properly and is sighted with an adjustable Williams receiver peep sight. A very good looking 81 in a great caliber that will make a great hunting rifle. FFL or C&R
