Scarce S&W .38 M&P Early Postwar 1905 Revolver 1946 S Prefix
- Maker: S&W
- Model: M&P
- Caliber: .38 Spl
- Description: Serial #S819792, .38 Special, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a ca. 1946 revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor. The metal retains 97-98% of the original; blue finish with some very mild silvering at the muzzle, along a few of the high and exposed edges, as well as some hairline scratches and a light turn-ring on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger retain a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening, while the original diamond-center grips, numbered to the gun on the interior, are in fine shape, with some minor handling marks and mild flattening of the points. These S prefix guns were only built between 1945-1948 before it changed to the C prefix. This is a very nice K-frame S&W, with lots of original finish remaining, and rates excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
