Springfield Armory 1908 SA USGI WWI M1905 Bayonet Canvas Boyt Scabbard

  • Maker: US Military
  • Model: Bayonet
  • Caliber:

  • Description: This is a WWI, Springfield Armory Model 1905 bayonet with a 1941 dated Boyt impregnated canvas, leather tipped and metal throated scabbard. It measures 20 1/2 overall with a 16 two fuller blade with tiny nicks and impact marks on the blade which shows mild carbon staining and scattered freckling marked S A / (ordnance bomb) / 1908 on the ricasso and US 271249 on the reverse. The steel cross guard is mostly a plum brown with use and wear marks with near excellent wood grips and pommel. The Boyt marked scabbard is dated 1941 and has light soiling and fading with marks and scratches from use but is overall very good to near excellent and holds the bayonet firmly. A great WWI bayonet in a reissue WWII scabbard that will look great on your 1903/A3 or early M1 Garand.
