U.S. Model 1917 Revolver by S&W

  • Price: $2,195.00
  • Maker: S&W
  • Model: 1917
  • Caliber: .45ACP

  • Description: Serial #60851, .45 ACP/Auto Rim, 5 1/2” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and ejector, with the metal retaining 99% plus of the original blue finish. There are some hints of silvering at the muzzle, and a mild turn-ring on the cylinder, but these are negligible. The hammer, trigger, and lanyard swivel likewise retain nearly all of their original color case-hardening. The smooth walnut grips are numbered to the gun, and have scattered small handling marks and minor surface blemishes in the original oil finish on both sides. The lock-up rock-solid, and the action functions flawlessly. The revolver is accompanied by a 2017 dated S&W factory letter that lists a shipping date of June 12th, 1918 to Springfield Armory. This is an exceptional, almost unused example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1917, and would be almost impossible to upgrade from. FFL or C&R
