US Army Model 1902 Officer's Sword
- Price: $250.00
- Maker: U.S. Military
- Model: Sword
- Description: This is a WW1 era sword that measures 35 1/2” overall with a 30” curved, single-edged blade with long single fullers. The blade has the original factory polish with some scattered spots of freckling near the tip, and some brown oxidation at the ricasso. The blade has 2/3 length etched panels on both sides. The obverse has large “U.S.” and floral scrollwork, while the reverse has scroll, American Eagle, and maker's “banner” trademark on the reverse: “THE / HENDERSON / AMES CO. / KALAMAZOO / MICH.”. The hilt has a single, forward-swept quillon, triple-branch guard, and a horn grip with some handling marks, and a couple of small chips on the finger-grooves. The undented scabbard has some frosting and mild oxidation at the drag. Half of an articulated metal hanger is attached to the top ring. This is a good plus US Army sword overall.
