US Model 1917 Enfield Rifle by Eddystone with Bayonet

  • Maker: Eddystone
  • Model: 1917
  • Caliber: .30-06

  • Description: Serial #961141, .30-06, 26 barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a small amount of freckling within the grooves. This rifle has a 7-18 dated, E marked barrel, and retains approximately 85-90 of the armory added matte blue finish on the metal, with silvering and gray fading along the high edges, projections, and on the bearing surfaces of the E marked bolt. A rectangular area of gray freckling is also present on the left side of the receiver. The T marked stock has been armory refinished and is in very good condition with an added varnish over lightly sanded wood that has numerous minor handling marks and blemishes scattered about. The nosecap is the only non-E marked part, and has a W Winchester stamp. An original canvas No-Buckl sling is included, as is a WW2 era plastic oiler and cleaning tools in the stock trap. Also included is a 1917 dated Remington bayonet measuring 21 3/4 overall with a sharpened 17 blade that has a dark gray patina and spots of pinprick pitting along its length. The hilt is in good shape with some chips on the grip scales, and the muzzle-ring is slightly bent. The olive green scabbard is in fine condition. This is a great looking 17 Enfield, and rates very good-fine overall. FFL or C&R
