WW2 Canadian No. 4 Mk. I* Rifle by Long Branch

  • Maker: Enfield
  • Model: No. 4
  • Caliber: .303

  • Description: Serial #88L1230, .303 British, 25" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a few traces of dark freckling within the grooves. This is a 1945-dated rifle that has a Mk. III sheetmetal rear sight, and retains 80-85% of the original blue finish, with some silvering and gray fading at the muzzle and other high edges and projections. The matching number bolt has streaks of gray metal along the body, and some small spots of dark freckling on the handle. The walnut forend, handguard, and "L" marked buttstock have numerous minor handling marks in the military oil finish, and still have crisp "C (Broad Arrow)" property stamps along the underside. The rifle comes with a single unmarked magazine, and has an import mark on the right side of the barrel at the muzzle. This is a great looking late-war No. 4, and is in fine condition overall.
