Winchester Smokeless 38-55 Ammo 255 Gr SP Metal Patch 2 Sunburst Label

Description: This is a full box, 20 original rounds, of .38-55 ammunition manufactured by Winchester with 255 grain metal patched soft point bullets. The two piece, round corner smokeless box dates to circa 1900-02 and has the colorful and desirable two Winchester sunburst labels designating the smokeless and soft point loading. The primary green and black top and side labels are in excellent condition with clear graphics having some small areas of flaking and rub wear. The box is solid with with some pen marks on the back side and light age soiling. The cartridges are in excellent condition with w primers showing slight age darkening. A near excellent example of a short lived two sunburst label box in a very desirable caliber.
